Your hero
One character, any world.
Save your hero as a persona with a name, a portrait, and up to 5,000 characters of class, gear, and history, then bring them into any story you start.
Type what your hero does and the storyteller plays the world back to you. One-click trackers make it an RPG: health and mana that drain, gold that piles up, a quest log, a pack, and XP that carries you to the next level, on screen and saved with the story.

The short answer
An AI RPG is a role-playing game run by an AI game master: you describe what your character does in your own words, and the AI tells you how the world responds. On LoreWeaver it plays in the browser, and Loom templates add the game itself, one click each: meters for health, mana, gold, and XP, a level that rises as XP fills, a quest log, and an inventory, all moved by what you write. You can play 20 turns of any community world without an account, and the free plan carries on with unlimited replies from the free storyteller and 25 premium replies a day.

Under the sheet
Each RPG template is a set of Loom threads that read your move before the storyteller replies. They keep their numbers in named counters, and the HUD at the top of the story shows them as bars, a quest log, and a pack.
Every value stays editable after you install a template: make spells cheaper, let a level take 200 XP, or write a thread that keeps the ferryman silent until gold passes 100. Counters can appear in any text the Loom writes, so a meter labeled “XP, level {{level}}” keeps the level on screen.
| Counter | How the template moves it |
|---|---|
| hp | Starts at 100. Drops 15 when your move says you are hurt, wounded, or hit, and a defeat scene plays when it reaches 0. |
| xp | Gains 25 when your move says you defeat, slay, solve, or discover something. At 100 it resets to 0 and the level rises. |
| level | Starts at 1 and rises by 1 each time XP fills, with a “Level Up!” achievement on screen. |
| mana | Starts at 100. Each spell costs 20; short of that, the spell fizzles until you rest, meditate, or sleep. |
| gold | Starts at 25 on a 500-coin meter. A move that mentions loot, coin, or gold adds 20, 55% of the time. |
The RPG layer
Your hero
Save your hero as a persona with a name, a portrait, and up to 5,000 characters of class, gear, and history, then bring them into any story you start.
Progression
With Leveling & XP installed, a win in your move adds 25 XP. At 100 the level rises, an achievement appears, and the storyteller is told to write the moment your hero grows.
Vitals
Health drops when your move says you are hurt, and a defeat scene plays when it runs out. Mana pays for every spell, and when the well runs dry the next one sputters until you rest.
The pack
Starting supplies land in an inventory with quantities and descriptions. Drinking a potion uses one, a key is spent on the door it opens, and loot you find stacks onto what you carry.
Quests
A quest opens with its objectives listed, and each can tick off when your move mentions what it needs. The storyteller hears about every new quest and finished objective, so the scene answers to them.
Dice
Skill Checks rolls 1d20 against DC 12 when you try to sneak, climb, or persuade, and Boss Fight gives the big enemy a health bar of its own to wear down.
Where to adventure
Build your own
Pitch
Type an idea, such as a debt collector working the fen roads, and the storyteller builds a title, premise, tone, rules, and opening scene for you to edit.
Install
Open the Loom’s templates and add Health System, Mana & Spellcasting, Coin Purse, and the rest, one click each. Their bars appear on the first turn of a new story.
Rules
Put classes, magic, and limits in the style rules, and give towns, factions, and rivals lore cards so they return whenever they are named.
Tune
Play a few sessions, then adjust: rarer gold, a gentler climb between levels, a boss with more health. Branch before a big fight to play it two ways and keep both.

Yes. LoreWeaver runs in the browser on a computer, tablet, or phone, with nothing to install. Play 20 turns of any community world without an account, then continue on the free plan with unlimited replies from the free storyteller and 25 premium replies a day. Paid plans start at $7.99 a month.
Yes, through Loom templates. Health System, Mana & Spellcasting, Coin Purse, Leveling & XP, Quest Tracker, and Inventory & Keys each install in one click, and their bars, quest log, and pack sit in a HUD at the top of the story.
With Leveling & XP, a move that says you defeat, slay, or solve something adds 25 XP. When XP reaches 100, your level rises by 1, XP starts again from 0, a “Level Up!” achievement appears, and the storyteller plays out the moment. Every number can be changed.
Yes. Skill Checks roll 1d20 against DC 12 on risky moves, Boss Fight tracks an enemy’s health bar, and any Loom thread can roll standard notation such as 2d6+3 or 4d6kH3 against a DC you set, with critical successes and failures marked.
Yes. Tracker values save with the story, so your health, gold, and pack are where you left them. Memories are written every few replies, a running recap keeps the arc, and lore cards bring back people and places whenever they are named.
Yes. Pitch a world in a sentence or build it by hand, install the trackers you want, write classes and rules into the style rules, and publish it to the Hub when it is ready for other players.
Not in the same story. Each story is one player and the storyteller, but you can publish your world to the Hub, and every friend who plays it gets a copy of their own.
