How much story stays in view.

AI Dungeon’s premium Shadow tiers keep up to 128K tokens in view on some models, more than any LoreWeaver plan. Below the very top, the same money holds more here: Journey costs $14.99 and keeps up to 16K tokens, while LoreWeaver’s Pro costs $14.99 and keeps 32,000.

Context is only the first layer. Once a scene scrolls out of view, memories, the recap, and lore cards carry it forward, so a promise from the first session can still come back in the fortieth.

AI Dungeon’s scenario scripts are code. A Loom thread is built from plain conditions and actions. This one waits for turn twenty and an unpaid debt, then sends the ferryman.

    On AI Dungeon’s website, open the adventure’s details, choose Download Adventure, and pick the backup. It saves as a ZIP file.

    Import

    Drop it on My Stuff.

    Press Import on LoreWeaver’s My Stuff page, or drop the ZIP anywhere on it. The adventure becomes a world, with every turn in order.

    Review

    Check what came along.

    Story cards arrive as lore cards with their triggers as tags, the Memory Bank as memories, the story summary as the recap, and Plot Essentials as a pinned card.

    Play

    Take the next turn.

    Type a Do or a Say as before. New memories form every few replies, and story cards exported on their own import into any world’s Lore tab.

01Can I bring my AI Dungeon adventures to LoreWeaver?

Yes. On AI Dungeon’s website, choose Download Adventure and save the backup ZIP, then press Import on LoreWeaver’s My Stuff page. Every turn arrives with the story cards, Memory Bank, story summary, Plot Essentials, Author’s Note, and AI Instructions. Story cards exported on their own as JSON import into any world’s Lore tab.

02Does LoreWeaver keep more context than AI Dungeon?

It depends on the tier. LoreWeaver keeps 6,400 tokens on Free, 32,000 on Pro ($14.99), and 100,000 on Legendary ($49.99). AI Dungeon keeps up to 4K free, up to 16K on Journey ($14.99), up to 32K on Mythic ($49.99), and up to 64K on Ultimate ($99.99), and its premium Shadow tiers reach 128K on some models, more than any LoreWeaver plan.

03Is LoreWeaver free like AI Dungeon?

Yes. You can play any Hub world as a guest for 20 replies, then a free account gives you unlimited replies from the free storyteller and 25 premium replies a day. Paid plans run from $7.99 to $49.99 a month and add premium replies, context, and memories per story.

04Does LoreWeaver play like AI Dungeon?

Closely. Do turns “I draw my sword” into “You draw your sword,” Say sets your words as dialogue, and Custom keeps your narration exactly as written, like AI Dungeon’s Story action. Continue extends a reply, and asking for a new one keeps the earlier versions to swipe between.

05What replaces AI Dungeon’s scripts?

The Loom. Instead of code, a thread pairs conditions, such as a turn number, a word in your message, a flag, or a dice roll against a DC, with actions, such as foreshadowing, a quest update, an item, or tappable choices. 53 templates cover health, quests, inventory, romance, horror, and more.

06Can I play with friends, like AI Dungeon multiplayer?

Not in one shared story: each LoreWeaver story has one player. You can publish a world to the Hub, and each friend plays their own copy of it.

07Does LoreWeaver allow mature adventures?

For adults, yes. Accounts are 18+, dark and graphic themes between adult characters are allowed, and a short list of hard limits in the community guidelines applies everywhere. Stories stay private unless you publish a world.
