In your browser
Files stay on your device.
Cards, lorebooks, and chat exports are read and written by code running in the page. Nothing reaches LoreWeaver unless you choose to play or import it.
Edit and convert character cards, build and test lorebooks, read the chats you saved from Character.AI, and roll quests, NPCs, taverns, and magic systems. Every tool runs in your browser with no account, and files never leave your device.
The short answer
LoreWeaver has 9 free tools for roleplayers. Five work with files: a Character.AI export viewer, a character card editor, converter, and viewer, and a lorebook editor. Four are generators with no AI, for quest hooks, NPCs, tavern names, and magic systems. All of them run in your browser with no account, and any result can open LoreWeaver’s world builder to become a story you play.
Updated
Files
Read and search the chats in your Character.AI data download or CAI Tools files, then save them as plain text or SillyTavern chats.
Write a card from nothing or edit one you have, greetings and lorebook included, and save it as PNG, JSON, or CHARX.
Turn a card into PNG, JSON V2, JSON V3, or CHARX, with every field and lorebook entry carried across.
See everything inside a PNG, JSON, or CHARX card: the definition, every greeting, hidden instructions, and the lorebook.
Open World Info, NovelAI, RisuAI, and Agnai lorebooks, test which entries a passage brings in, and save World Info or a character book.
Generators
Who asks, the job, where it starts, the catch, who else wants it, the deadline, and the reward.“Four farm families from the east road want you to get a harmless old forger out of the debtors’ jail.”
A name, an ancestry and trade, a look, a manner, what they want, a secret, their ties, and their first words.“Tamsin Kessler, a half-orc taxidermist”
A name for the sign, the keeper, the menu, the regulars, a bed for the night, and a rumor at the bar.“The Jug and Sailor”
Where the power comes from, who can use it, how, what it costs, what it can’t do, and how people treat it.“Crow singing, magic drawn from echoes in high places”
How they work
In your browser
Cards, lorebooks, and chat exports are read and written by code running in the page. Nothing reaches LoreWeaver unless you choose to play or import it.
Files other apps read
Cards follow the V2 and V3 specs and lorebooks follow SillyTavern’s own conversions, so what you save opens in SillyTavern, Chub, RisuAI, and LoreWeaver.
No account
Every tool works without an account. Making one is free, and it’s only needed when you want to play a card, a chat, or a rolled idea as a story.
One step to a story
A card imports as a character world, Character.AI chats continue as sessions, and a rolled quest, NPC, tavern, or magic system opens the world builder with the idea typed in.
