Spellcasting
Magic that runs out.
Install Mana & Spellcasting and every spell you cast draws on a mana bar. Cast with too little left and the spell sputters out, until you rest or sleep and the bar fills again.
Your grandmother has died in Benevento, and the witches who meet by the river on Saturday nights want you in her place, while a carabiniere from the north asks where they were the night a man drowned. Write your spells and what they cost on lore cards, and LoreWeaver remembers whom you helped and whom you hexed.

The short answer
LoreWeaver is a good home for witch stories because it keeps magic consistent. Each spell or charm can have its own lore card with what it does and what it costs, read whenever you name it. The Loom adds a mana bar that empties as you cast, and memories keep track of who you cursed and who saw you do it. Spellcasting

Lore cards
Give each spell and charm a lore card with what it does and what it takes from you. The card joins the reply when you name it, so a binding works the same way in the last chapter as it did in the first.
Karma
Alignment & Karma moves a meter with your choices. Healing and forgiving push it up, threats and betrayals pull it down, and at either end the town begins to rally to you or step out of your way.
Memory
Memories note who you cursed and who saw you do it, and recall pays attention to who is in the scene. When the baker you hexed in spring walks into your shop in autumn, the storyteller knows why he won’t meet your eye.
Familiars
Write your cat or crow on a lore card with its temper and its talents, then add Companion Bond so its loyalty is earned. Win enough of it and the familiar proves itself when it counts.
Personas
Save your witch as a persona with her history and her look, and pick her when you start a story in any world. Make her your default and she is ready every time.
