Te Vaka · Final approach

“Te Vaka, this is the island. Welcome. We’ve kept a landing pad clear for you for eighty years, and there’s the small matter of a lease.”

The short answer

What’s the best AI for alien roleplay?

LoreWeaver is built for first contact stories that last longer than one chat. Describe how your alien’s body works and how it talks on a lore card, and the storyteller reads that card whenever the creature is named, so it stays strange in the same way from one scene to the next. Memories keep the words you have traded and the promises made on both sides. It is free to start, with 20 replies in any community world before you need an account and 25 premium replies a day on the free plan.

01

Lore cards

An alien that stays alien.

Describe how your species senses the world and what it will never do on a lore card. The card joins the reply whenever the creature or one of its tags comes up, so a visitor that cannot lie, or cannot see red, is played that way scene after scene.

02

Memory

What it learns, it keeps.

Every 4 replies the story saves what happened as memories, and recall finds them by meaning, wording, and who is in the scene. When your visitor uses a phrase you taught it weeks ago, the storyteller knows where it came from.

03

The Loom

Keep it out of sight.

Hiding a visitor in the barn? The Suspicion Meter rises each time you lie or sneak and falls when you have a good alibi. If it tops out, your cover is blown and the story brings the consequences in at once.

04

Pictures

See what landed.

On Pro, turn on scene pictures in the world’s settings, then switch the composer to See and LoreWeaver paints the moment you are in. Put a picture on your alien’s lore card in the Character category, and each painting starts from it so the creature looks like itself.

05

Branches

Try the other greeting.

First contact can turn on one line. Branch the story from any message to see where a different answer leads, and the branch tree shows how each version split from the first.

06

World builder

Your own first contact, from one line.

Describe it in a sentence, such as a mining crew that hears knocking inside an asteroid, and the world builder writes the premise, the people and places as lore cards, who you play, and the opening scene.

FAQ

Alien roleplay questions, answered.

01Can I play as the alien?

Yes. Make your persona the visitor, or start a world where the player is the one who landed, and the storyteller plays the humans trying to work you out. Your biology and your customs can each have a lore card.

02How do I keep an alien language consistent?

Put its rules and a handful of sample phrases on a lore card, and tag the card with the species’ name so it joins every scene the alien is in. Pin the card to keep it in view all the time, and regenerate any reply that slips.

03Are there first contact worlds I can play right now?

Yes. In The Visitor at Coteau, a visitor from somewhere else has walked past Ottawa’s list of suitable families and chosen your yard, and in Landfall a generation ship arrives to find people already living on its new world. Any Hub world plays free for 20 replies without an account.

04Can the alien become a friend, or more?

Yes. Companion Bond gives the visitor a loyalty meter that rises when you defend it or share something with it, and Relationship Stages follows a slower path from strangers to friends. Accounts are for adults, and romance between adult characters is allowed.

05Can I make my own alien world?

Yes. Pitch it in a sentence and the world builder writes the premise and the opening scene, with the species and its homeworld saved as lore cards. Publish it to the Hub when it is ready, and every player gets their own copy.
