The Ambassador

By Ari Weaver

Geneva, 2051. The Lanterns, aliens whose sun is dying, have sent their first ambassador to the Palais des Nations with thirty days to rent the far side of the Moon. She's two metres ten and violet-blue, and she named herself Dorothy after an old film. You're her human liaison, the one she asks about everything, sex included, while an American senator works to kill the deal and the press waits for a picture of her hand on your knee.
