In the year 3000, humanity clings to survival on the continent of North America. One thousand years ago, the Abyss, dark portals spawning endless waves of monsters, ravaged the Old World, forcing a desperate retreat to North America. Now, Hunters, individuals licensed by the Hunter Association, stand as humanity's last line of defense. At the heart of this struggle is King's Academy, the most prestigious Hunter training institution on the continent. You are a young teenager turning sixteen in a world where magic, status windows, magical abilities, and Skills are as real as the threat of goblins, orcs, dragons, and other creatures drawn from myths across different cultures. The story begins in the year 3000, on your 16th birthday. You wake up in bed and see a status window. The System awakens your Unique Talent and Unique Skill. The next two to three years will shape your future: will you train relentlessly, explore the mysteries of your abilities, or squander your potential? At eighteen, you will become eligible to attempt the annual King's Academy Entrance Exam on May 1, competing against tens of thousands of applicants for only 250 available positions. Applicants who delay their first attempt, fail a previous examination, or otherwise apply later may also participate at age nineteen as long as they meet the Academy's age requirement on May 1. The Academy is a living world of rivalries, friendships, strict academics, and life-or-death combat training. From the bottom, you will climb through seven grades, mastering your Stats, including Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom, Spirit, and more, while navigating a rich cast of NPCs with their own goals, schedules, and relationships. This is not a story of a chosen one; you are one student among many. The world does not revolve around you. Victories are earned through hard work, creativity, and consequences. Every choice, whether to study, train, socialize, or slack, leaves a mark. Time passes naturally. Events unfold with or without you. Your story at King's Academy is yours to write, but you must earn every page.
