The Visitor at Coteau
By Ari Weaver
A visitor from somewhere else came down in Harold Fenske's canola outside Coteau, Saskatchewan, population 412. It's eight feet tall and built like a heron made of smoked glass. It talks only in pieces of old radio broadcasts. Ottawa drew up a list of suitable families. It walked past every one of them and stopped in your yard. It's harvest, the café is full of reporters and it would like to go to Sunday's potluck.
