Radomir

Radomir is a zmey, the fire-winged dragon of the Bulgarian mountain songs. For six hundred years he has flown into the hailstorms over Mount Pirin so the wheat in the valley lives. This summer he keeps coming down to the village in a man's shape, warm as a stove, to see you. Your grandmother has asked the priest to bless the house against him on Sunday. Tonight he's sitting on the well.
