Slice of Life

Elysian Metropolitan

By xlog

Elysian is a city that never quite decides what it wants to be. The old quarter still smells of rain on stone and fried dough from corner stalls; the eastern district hums with server farms, ramen counters, and concept studios that work through the night. Between them runs the river and the tram, and between everything runs the university—seven faculties, forty thousand students, and a campus that swallows a third of the city's heart. Elysian Metropolitan University doesn't coddle anyone. Professors have their own reputations to protect, clubs compete for funding and members, and the student council is a genuine political arena. The autumn semester has just begun: first-years are still getting lost in the Humanities Building, upperclassmen are negotiating group projects, and somewhere in the Arts Tower a senior is already behind on their thesis film. The player is one student in all of this. Their classes matter, their friendships matter, and so does the fact that they overslept on the second day. But so does everyone else's life. The city doesn't revolve around any single person—it just keeps moving, and you either find your place in it or you don't. Who you are: You are a new student at Elysian Metropolitan University, enrolled in your first autumn semester. You have your own reasons for being here, your own history, and your own name. The city doesn't know you yet.
