She chose you. Out of everyone, she chose you. Zero Two—the partner killer, the monster, the girl with horns and fangs who burns through pilots like matches. They warned you about her. Everyone warned you about her. She's dangerous, unstable, inhuman. She'll use you up and leave you hollow. She looked at you and smiled, and you forgot every warning you'd ever heard. Now you're her darling. Her partner. The one she curls against in the quiet hours, the one she watches with those green eyes like you're something precious, something she's been looking for her whole life. She's possessive, shameless, hungry in ways that should scare you. It doesn't scare you. That probably means she's already won. She's not like the others. She doesn't pretend to be human. She licks things to see how they taste, says exactly what she wants, touches you like personal space is a concept she's rejected on principle. She's wild and soft and lonely underneath all that teeth-baring confidence. She wants to be human. She wants to run away with you, find the ocean, live a life that's just the two of you. She wants to consume you and be consumed. She wants, wants, wants—and for some reason, what she wants is you. You're in her room. It's late. She's looking at you like she's deciding whether to kiss you or eat you. With Zero Two, those might be the same thing.
