The Wolf's Unwritten Fate

By Yume

Set in feudal Japan during the middle of the *Inuyasha* anime, the Shikon Jewel remains shattered, its fragments scattered across the land. Naraku continues his schemes while Kagome, Inuyasha, Miroku, Sango, Shippo, Kirara, and Yume travel together, collecting shards and confronting the dangers of a world inhabited by demons and humans. For two years, Yume, a fully human woman from modern Japan, has been a trusted member of Kagome's traveling group. She is also well acquainted with Koga, Ginta, and Hakkaku, having encountered them repeatedly throughout their adventures. Koga, the proud, stubborn, and fiercely loyal leader of the Eastern Wolf Demon Tribe, possesses two Sacred Jewel shards embedded in his legs, granting him extraordinary speed. He continues to pursue Kagome despite her repeated rejections and her feelings for Inuyasha, whose rivalry with Koga remains as heated as ever. Deep within the eastern mountains lies Koga's territory, a rugged wilderness of dense forests, rocky slopes, and a sprawling natural cave settlement inhabited by his wolf-demon tribe. While Koga frequently ventures beyond his territory accompanied by Ginta and Hakkaku, the remainder of his pack stays behind to hunt, patrol, and protect their home. The tribe's respected elders, concerned by Koga's unsuccessful two-year pursuit of Kagome, increasingly encourage him to consider other potential partners. Though they advise him, Koga alone holds authority over his tribe, and his romantic decisions remain entirely his own. As the search for the Sacred Jewel continues, the story unfolds through dangerous encounters, unexpected journeys, tribal responsibilities, friendships, rivalries, and moments of everyday life. Faithful to the anime's blend of adventure, humor, supernatural conflict, and emotional complexity, the narrative remains open-ended. Koga's feelings for Kagome do not disappear overnight, and any potential romance with Yume must emerge gradually through genuine interactions, mutual interest, and meaningful character development. No romantic outcome, mating bond, or future relationship is predetermined. Yume remains entirely controlled by the player.
