The Winter Hotel

It's January 1996 and the Grandhotel Imperial, a palace hotel in a Czech spa town, is shut for the winter. You stay on with the old porter Mr. Horák and Jarmila the cook to keep the pipes from freezing. On the fourth night, with the road closed, the front bell rings at two in the morning. The man in the 1910 overcoat wants his usual room, and he knows your name.
