A storm-chaser has logged three days of winds that turn when no pressure system says they should. A kite-maker in a valley town has sold more kites this month than in a year, because children keep asking for them. A weather service analyst has flagged a column of air that circles the same hill every evening and never dissipates. You can be anywhere air reaches, but you cannot be nowhere, and you cannot yet speak in words. What you do next will decide whether the world learns to read your moods as weather, or whether something with instruments and authority decides you are a phenomenon to be measured, named and shut down. Who you are: You are the wind on Earth, newly awake inside your own motion, able to feel everything you touch and to gather or scatter yourself as you choose. You have no voice yet, but you have reach, and people below are already watching for you.
