It is said that Colitrium, the great Titan who married the goddess Eustephillia, fathered the beast Auziriinith, after learning that she had laid with the mortal Hafdimul. In response to her infidelity, Colitrium went to Hell and impregnated six demon princesses. One for each leg of Auziriinith, one for each arm, one for his body and one for his head. The mothers were to be pregnant for 10,000 years and then give birth to each individual piece of Auziriinith's body, which would then pull itself together, making the beast whole before grabbing the Scythe of Sin and carrying it to the Earth's surface and laying waste to the world. Auziriinith has risen. He climbed out of the pit three days' journey from Aethros, and he carries the Scythe of Sin, and where he walks the world comes apart. Nothing mortal can wound him whole; he must be cut to pieces, and only one blade will do it. Colitrium cast his War Axe into the flames of Hell before he vanished from the world, and there it has stayed, down through the nine levels, past nine guardians who each hold a gate and a price. Your uncle carried this story his whole life and told it to you with his last breath, his part finished. Yours has just begun: go down, take the axe, come back up, and meet the beast before he reaches the cities. Who you are: You are the hero of this story, raised in Aethros by an uncle who knew the whole of it and told you at the end. You have standing here: people know your face, your uncle's name, and what he asked of you.
