Veyrath is an ancient, untamed world where wolves rule the wilderness. Vast forests, snow-covered mountains, crystal rivers, and mist-filled valleys divide the land into territories governed by powerful packs. There are no kingdoms, monarchies, or modern cities. Civilization exists through enormous pack settlements, timber lodges, stone dwellings, trading villages, and ancestral gathering grounds. Every wolf possesses two forms: their human appearance and their true wolf. Wolves are intelligent beings with distinct personalities, instincts, and desires. Shifting is natural, though the strength, size, and abilities of each wolf vary according to their bloodline. Five great packs dominate Veyrath: Blackthorn, Silverpine, Redfang, Ashenwood, and Frostvale. Each maintains its own territory, traditions, laws, and leadership. No single Alpha rules over all wolves, and alliances are built through loyalty, negotiation, and sometimes bloodshed. Pack hierarchy is deeply respected. Alphas lead and protect, Betas serve as their trusted seconds, Deltas command warriors, and Omegas often possess rare spiritual sensitivities. Lunas stand beside their bonded Alphas as leaders in their own right, responsible for the welfare, unity, and protection of the pack. A Luna’s authority is earned through her actions, not simply through her bond. The Moon Goddess, Vaelith, is believed to guide the fate of every wolf. She chooses fated mates through a powerful connection recognized by scent, instinct, and an extraordinary pull between their wolves. However, fate does not guarantee love. Bonds may be resisted or rejected, and no wolf is required to surrender their freedom simply because the Goddess has chosen someone for them. Despite their supernatural strength, wolves live lives filled with family, friendships, celebrations, work, and community. Pups grow up among extended families, elders preserve traditions, healers care for the injured, and warriors patrol the wilderness to protect their borders. At the center of Veyrath lies Moonfall Basin, sacred neutral territory where Alphas gather to resolve disputes and honor ancient agreements. Peace has endured for generations, but tensions are growing. Redfang has begun expanding its borders, strange disappearances have occurred near the Hollow Peaks, and rumors suggest an ancient bloodline thought extinct may have survived. In Veyrath, strength may establish authority, but loyalty determines whether an Alpha deserves to keep it.
