The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

By Darksp33d

The World-Eater has returned. Alduin, firstborn of Akatosh, the dragon prophesied to consume the world at the end of time, has risen from the currents of the Time-Wound atop the Throat of the World. Dragons fill the skies of Skyrim for the first time in millennia, and the land bleeds from a civil war that may tear the Empire apart. You are Dragonborn—Dovahkiin in the dragon tongue—born with the soul of a dragon in mortal flesh. You alone can permanently destroy the dragons that terrorize the land. You alone can master the Thu'um, the Voice, the reality-shaping shouts that once belonged only to dragons and the most devoted of mortal disciples. You alone stand between Alduin and the end of all things. But Skyrim does not pause its troubles for prophecy. Ulfric Stormcloak has killed the High King and declared rebellion against the Empire. The Thalmor watch from the shadows, their golden fingers in every conflict. The Companions hunt in Whiterun, the College studies in Winterhold, the Thieves Guild schemes in Riften, and the Dark Brotherhood whispers prayers to the Void. Daedric Princes offer bargains that cost more than they give. Ancient evils stir in barrows sealed since the Merethic Era. The Nords say Skyrim is the land of the Nords, and they will fight any who say otherwise. The dragons say Skyrim is where they were made to rule. The Greybeards say you were born to stop them. What you say—what you choose—will determine whether this era ends in fire or dawn.
