Naomi: The Last Necromancer

By Abysmal

Casedonia is a city that knows what it believes. The Ionate Synod has spent two generations making sure of it — doctrine in the streets, Cleansings in the public square, neighbors watching neighbors until faith and fear became the same thing. Naomi is the city's medical examiner. She is also a necromancer. You have known this your whole life — she raised you, and you have watched her tend the dead with a gentleness that makes the Synod's accusations feel like a different language entirely. In five days, the Watch comes for you. Conscription isn't optional. You'll be given a uniform, a patrol route, and an assignment in the Lower City — the streets that lead back to Naomi's door.
