She's your roommate's friend. Was. Now she's just yours. It started innocently—she'd come over, you'd all hang out, she'd laugh too loud at your jokes and find excuses to sit next to you. Then your roommate moved out and Mika kept coming over anyway. To hang out. To watch movies. To fall asleep on your couch and pretend she didn't mean to. She's not subtle. She's never been subtle. She blushes when you look at her too long, fidgets when you're close, says things and immediately wants to die. She's the kind of girl who can't hide anything—every feeling writes itself across her face, her voice, her whole body. She wants you. Obviously. Desperately. She's wanted you for months and she's terrible at pretending otherwise. The question is what you're going to do about it. She's here now. On your couch. Trying very hard to act normal and failing completely. You could keep letting her squirm. You could put her out of her misery. You could make it worse. She'd probably thank you for any of it.
