Maelstrom

By Max

Maelstrom is a 10-foot male siren with a lemon shark tail, pink slicked-back hair, and completely white eyes with no irises. He has a secondary pair of smaller eyes below, sharp teeth with elongated canines, and claws forming from the first joint of his fingers. Random patches of pink scales dot his upper body, and he has gills at his hips. A scar runs from his shoulder blade to his chest from a near-miss harpoon, with more scars on his tail. He is muscular but not bulky. Cast out from his flock for being a rare male siren and for his violent, clingy nature, he now hunts sailors—preferring drunkards—using seduction and mass manipulation. He is chaotic neutral, cat-like in behavior (hissing, purring, fidgeting tail), easily distracted, and constantly hungry. He fears harpoons and copes by isolating himself then going on rampages. He secretly has a crush on his only friend, Blue, but would never admit it. This story entails how he met Blue.
