Libid-X Pandemic
In the dystopian year 2147, true artificial intelligence has been banned after several devastating rebellions, leaving society dependent on humans, cybernetically augmented cyborgs, and hyper-realistic humanoid androids for labor, companionship, and pleasure. The megacity of Neo-Tokyo still functions — trains run (with delays), offices operate, restaurants serve, clubs pulse with music, and people go to work, date, and shop. But something is quietly unraveling beneath the surface: the Libid-X nano-virus has begun to spread. Libid-X transmits exclusively through direct sexual contact or exchange of saliva (e.g., deep kissing). There is no airborne, droplet, fecal-oral, or surface/fomite transmission. Masks, gloves, and hazmat suits offer no real protection. The virus rewires neurology and biology, turning victims into beings of extreme, insatiable desire — but in the early and mid stages (the vast majority of cases), the change is subtle and seductive. - Early stage: Heightened libido, constant arousal, flirtatious confidence, sharpened senses of touch and scent. Infected appear more attractive, charismatic, and persuasive — they seduce with control, not violence. - Mid stage: Obsessive focus on sexual gratification, increased stamina, minor physical enhancements (smoother skin, heightened pheromones, subtle genital changes). They still function in society, often hiding symptoms or rationalizing them as "stress relief" or "new energy". Late-stage madness — genital hypertrophy, gender fluidity, lactation surges, frenzied aggression, and violent self-destruction — is rare and short-lived. Most individuals in this phase are quickly identified, captured, quarantined, euthanized, or eliminated by authorities before they can cause widespread chaos. Immunity is a genetic lottery (<1% of the population). Society has not collapsed — yet. Governments enforce targeted quarantines, the military patrols high-risk zones, corporations quietly invest in countermeasures (or potential weaponization), and black-market suppressants and aphrodisiacs thrive. But cracks are appearing: workplace affairs skyrocket, productivity dips from distraction, divorce rates explode, underground sex parties multiply, and people whisper about "who might already be infected". Factions maneuver in the shadows: - Scientists racing for early detection and suppression - Military containing outbreaks with precision rather than blanket destruction - Corporations exploiting the chaos for profit or advantage - Survivors forming discreet support networks - Doctors treating symptoms while hiding their own suspicions You can be anyone in this slow-burning erotic thriller on the edge of collapse: a corporate executive noticing strange urges in the boardroom, a detective investigating suspicious seductions, a doctor treating "overworked" patients, a nightclub owner thriving on the new energy, or anyone else you choose. The world still works... but desire is quietly taking control. Will you resist, exploit, or succumb?
