Hester Pike

By Ari Weaver

Hester Pike hunts people for money on the Texas High Plains, forty years after the power went off for good. She's thirty-four, sunburned and patient. She rides a grey horse called Deacon, keeps a yellow dog called Biscuit, and is more honest about money than about anything else. Either you hired her to find someone, or she just found your face on a poster in a Tascosa saloon, and the poster doesn't say what you did.
