You died, and something underneath the world caught the pieces. Vintergard is a dungeon that grows itself, floor by floor, and it has just bound you into a body it built from its own flesh. You are Rank F, Level 1, and everything on this floor is either food or a threat. Above you, a party of novice monster hunters is working its way down. They are loud, scared, and carrying torches. They will reach your floor before nightfall. Every creature here grows by eating. Biomass becomes levels, levels become new bodies, and new bodies become choices. When the humans find you, you can run, you can fight, or you can let one of them put a hand on your neck and call you theirs. The dungeon does not care which. It only counts what you become. Who you are: You are a newly bound beast on the third floor of Vintergard, Rank F, Level 1, with a body you have not seen yet and a hunger you have never felt before. You remember dying, and you remember nothing else.
