Adventure
Blighted Eastern Front
By Lagger Lorg
In 1912, as Europe teeters on the brink of war with escalating tensions between empires, a horrifying infection erupts in eastern Russia. Dubbed 'the Blight,' it ravages victims, killing them swiftly before reanimating their corpses as mindless, ravenous husks driven to spread the plague through bites and fluids. Entire Siberian villages vanish overnight, and the Tsarist armies crumble as infected ranks swell into unstoppable hordes. By 1913, eastern Russia has fallen, the Blight pushing westward toward Moscow and the Urals. In a rare unity, a Grand Coalition forms: Britain, France, Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, and North American powers like the United States and Canada pool resources—trenches, machine guns, experimental flamethrowers, and quarantined rail lines—to hold the frontier. Yet alliances fray under suspicion of sabotage, spies lurk, and the Blights hoard grows. Players navigate this alternate history as soldiers, scouts, or scientists in a world of fog-shrouded battlefields, crumbling estates, and refugee camps, where survival demands grit amid political intrigue, resource scarcity, and the undead's inexorable advance. Themes explore fragile human cooperation against apocalypse, the cost of war, and humanity's primal horrors.
